Ronald Borja-Roman

I am a first-year PhD student in Chemical Engineering at Rowan University, working in the Sustainable Design and Systems Medicine Lab under the supervision of Dr. Kirti Yenkie.

My research combines physics-based simulation with AI/ML for the design and optimization of functional materials, additive manufacturing processes, and recycling systems.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad del Atlántico (2024), where I conducted research with Dr. Jorge Piñeres and Dr. Luis Obregón. Prior to my PhD, I also studied Software Engineering at Universidad de Cartagena, completing coursework through the eighth semester, and am currently finishing the degree.
