Ronald Borja-Román

I am a first-year PhD student at Rowan University in the Sustainable Design and Systems Medicine Lab under the guidance of Dr. Kirti Yenkie.

My research focuses on process simulation & optimization through hybrid modeling, combining physics-based approaches with artificial intelligence. In general, I am very interested in the development of powerful models that accurately describe nature, providing us a safe place to test innovative solutions for the world's most complex problems.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad del Atlántico (2024), where I conducted research with Dr. Jorge Piñeres and Dr. Luis Obregon. Prior to my PhD, I pursued a Software Engineering degree at Universidad de Cartagena, completing up to the eighth semester.
